Ferrari’s Felipe Massa silenced a lot of voices today at Bahrain by running an almost perfect race to clinch the 2008 Bahrain Grand Prix. Teammate Kimi Raikkonen was second. Lewis Hamilton finished outside the points and lost the championship lead due to it. The Pole on pole Robert Kubica was third for the BMW team.

This is a race he will remember forever, the Bahrain Grand Prix 2008. Robert Kubica got his first ever pole position breaking Ferrari’s hopes of dominance in the middle eastern circuit. At the post race press confrence Kimi Raikkonen was true to his nickname of the iceman. The flying Finn (sorry Mika Hakkinen ) calmly replied to questions about the ‘tough’ race and said that it wasn’t too bad in Malaysia. Some nice soul put this video up on youtube which clearly shows the problem faced by Heidfeld during his qualifying, you can easily see one of the McLarens sticking to the racing line at a very low speed, more than impeding Heidfeld, it would have been a disaster if Heidfeld hadn’t weaved out in time.
