The Stefan GP team, most notably remembered for not being give a slot to race in the formula one 2010 season (this season for most of us 😛 ) has again expressed its desire to enter the hallowed portals of formula one racing.

Zoran Stefanovic and AMCO[3]

The team which is headed by Zoran Stefanovic has signed an agreement with AMCO corporation and the Mayor of Stara Pazova, located 25km from Belgrade , Serbia , to build the STEFAN TECHNOLOGY PARK. The Park is expected to have a formula one track ‘fir for competition’ and is expected to server as Stefan GP’s headquarters after two years.

“I think this is an excellent development for our team, Stara Pazova city, region and country,” Mr Stefanovic said today.

“This is proof that we want to put ourselves on the map as a serious hi-tech company, and that we are serious about competing in Formula One for the long term.”

“Bearing in mind that we will soon be on a par with top teams, in terms of facilities and organisation, as Stefan Technology Park looking to be compared with them, we expect many positive improvements in the future,” concluded Stefanovic.

The press statement further went onto state that the Stefan GP team would like to announce its official bid to enter in the 2011 season.

Its really nice to see a team so eager to get into formula one and into the technology behind formula one. Apparently they have also bought a lot of equipment from the Toyota formula one team which shut down operations after the end of last season. Other teams including Durango are also in the fight to get the spot in the formula one lineup, but the passion behind this team is something out of this world. Here is wishing Stefan GP best of luck !
