Malaysian Grand Prix 2008 is next
So Lewis Hamilton has drawn first blood, certainly the start that McLaren wanted to stamp their authority. All winter all one could hear was these stories about McLaren crumbling under pressure, Ron Dennis going out, employees not happy etc. But McLaren has comeback strongly to slap its critics hard in the face. While McLaren is a team which can take a lot from Melbourne, the Italy based team of Ferrari should do entirely the opposite.
Ferrari was a disaster at Melbourne, 2 failures in a day from a team which is famous for its reliability, the team which had dominated testing during the winters. And seriously what was Kimi Raikkonen doing on the track, perhaps hinting to get back Michael Schumacher maybe ? Ferrari really needs to regroup and get its act together if it wants to successfully defend its double title.
As for the other teams I really have no idea what they are upto, you see i had exams till today (mid sems) which went from awful to good. Anyway the point being i didn’t see the whole race but i did watch the race highlights sponsored by a company whose name i don’t remember on Star Sports (hint to that company, low customer name retention in that segment). The highlights focused on Timo Glock’s accident (whose videos FIA has been working overtime to remove from Youtube) , Lewis’s Pitstops and Ferrari’s blunders.
Anyway lets look forward to the weekend in Sepang and hope Ferrari can turn around their fortunes.
