History against Hamilton in final race title showdown

Lewis Hamilton, Heikki Kovalainen and Kimi Raikkonen on 2007 Japanese Grand Prix podium

It seems that history is against Lewis Hamilton winning the driver’s championship. Currently Lewis Hamilton leads that driver’s championship with 107 points after his accident at Shanghai. Fernando Alonso is on 103 and Kimi Raikkonen is on 100 points. All three drivers are in the contention for the formula one driver’s world championship.

5 out of 8 times the title has went to the final race, the number two driver won. Only 3 times did the current leader win. So it seems the odds are stacked up against Lewis Hamilton. Meanwhile Fernando Alonso has announced that McLaren shall be totally fair and equal w.r.t. both the driver.

Whatever be the outcome , keep watching this space on Rediscover Formula One !

P.S. (There is no alonso in the photo above :P )

I think Lewis can do it! It’ll be tough but he doesn’t even have to come first place to win. It sure is gonna be super exciting and I can’t wait to see the race. Whatever happens it’s been an awesome season! :-)
