Fernando Alonso and McLaren punished for impeding Lewis Hamilton
As the lollipop goes up, Alonso acts like nothing has happened.
The result of the FIA investigation is out, and Fernando Alonso has been penalised for not letting Lewis Hamilton set a final time. Fernando Alonso’s dirty tactics were recognised by FIA and his punishment was given accordingly. The FIA demoted Fernando Alonso five places and ruled that McLaren will not be scoring any constructor points in the Hungarian Grand Prix.
“The commissioners decided that Alonso unnecessarily interfered with another competitor, Mr. Lewis Hamilton, and he has been penalised five places on the grid,”
“The attitude of the team at the end of qualification was considered prejudicial to the interests of competition and motor racing.”
The fact that McLaren too have been given a penalty means that McLaren had an active role to play in the alleged cheating incident.

I am completely sick to the back teeth of Lewis Hamilton. He’s a great talent and his involvement in 2007 has been great, however he plays the victim all the time, he was clearly willing to take a strategic advantage yesterday in qualifying and yet is not willing to admit that. Instead he takes the moral high ground as if Alonso is evil and he is pure. ITV is a programme dedicated to Lewis worship particularly Steve Ryder who can’t stop adoring Lewis. We want fair racing and fair commentry.
I know the British are excited about having Lewis but they have 4 drivers to support and whats more there are 22 drivers out there, all of them great drivers.
In conclusion, Lewis will come unstuck. He was monstered in the full post race press conference by people looking for him to concede anything but he refused to. Great driver, pathetic human being who would never make it into my circle of friends for what it’s worth.

i completely agree. It wasnt alonso´s fault it was the teams fault. Hamilton should be punish by the team because he didn´t do what they told him to do.

“Fernando Alonso and McLaren punished for impeding Lewis Hamilton”
What? Impede Lewis Hamilton? How dare they? I shall be writing to my MP about this…
Oh wait, I haven’t got one, have I? And, come to think of it, if the stewards had to become involved, it’s a pity they didn’t penalise the guy who caused the whole ruckus in the first place.
What, who? Oh, some guy named Lewis Hamilton…
