United States loses Formula One Grand Prix
As it was being suspected by many, Bernie Ecclestone delivered the final blow to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, announcing that there will be no Amercan formula one grand prix in 2008. Bernie Ecclestone had already said that US was not vital and important to formula one, and that emerging markets like Korea and India offered much better prospects for the sport of formula one. The organisers expressed hope that the f1 race may return to US in the future.
A party sure to be disappointed would be the Mercedes F1 team, US is one of the biggest markets for its commercial car division. Mercedes motorsport vice-president Norbert Haug was quoted as saying :
“We most definitely should have a race here and if you ask me, maybe two or even more in the United States”

One can only hope that Bernie will bite the big one sooner rather than later and someone other than this Napolean wil take over the sport. I’m amazed that the likes of Mercedes, BMW, Honda and Ferrari haven’t told him where to go. I was at Silverstone last week and the opinion amongst the crowd was no different than in the US. Bernie must go.

Yeah , he is really unpopular, but can he really be made to leave?
In my opinion, he is just too powerful to be kicked out of F1
