Spyker Heineken to open formula one Sports Bar
I can see the Jordan/Midland/Spyker staff going Hic Hic Hurray already. Too bad Narain will miss the party, shouldn’t have left the Midland, Spyker f1 team eh .
After a string of name changes and then a colour change, the team finds itself in the news again and not surprisingly not for racing reasons. They will be opening a formula 1 themed sports bar in Netherlands. Heineken also becomes the official beer supplier to Spyker formula one’s track side events. Great mix of drinking and driving, didn’t think they were miscible.
But people have been told that the branding on the formula one theme bar will carry the ‘Enjoy Heineken Responsibly’ tag which encourages people to drink beer but drink in limits (yeah crash at 60 mph not 90, be responsible).
Michiel Mol, of Spyker Formula One added “Having Heineken, one of the most international breweries of the world, as a partner for this concept and as a hospitality instrument proves that the marketing strategy of the Spyker formula one team is working as planned.”
Herwin van den Berg, Marketing Director of Heineken Netherlands, said: “Developing and realising innovative bar concepts is a main priority for our company and this Formula 1 sports bar fits with our ambitions of being the most innovative brewer. Furthermore, the co-operation with Spyker gives us access to the Formula 1 experience with millions of international fans.”
Just imagine the pileup if the Spyker drivers get their hands on the beer before the races !

Cheers Mate, may god bless them beer makers !
Germans too love beer, Michael i am sure must be a hearty drinker and would welcome the move.
Not sure about Italians, i think Ferrari would unofficial ly endorse alcohol.
