Team A1GP India almost gets Podium via Narain Karthikeyan
We are not strictly formula one also, once in a while A1GP is fine ![]()

Narain Karthikeyan almost did it, the Williams test driver for their formula one team who is also team India’s A1GP driver almost snatched a podium in the last feature race of the A1GP Championship. He was behind team Italy by only 3/10 of a second at the end. Karthikeyan loved the Brands Hatch circuit, where he has won some F3 races before.
We were fourth, we could have been third, we had the pace for third and it would have been great to get a podium in the last race of the season.
Narain Karthikeyan really is a class driver, Williams should really give him a chance on the circuit instead of the pseudo hero Nico Rosberg. When Narain arrived in team A!GP India, it was in bits and pieces. The team had been tattered and torn by the controversies and sponsor troubles. The team was the back marker of the pack, much like the Minardis. But Karthikeyan single handedly did a turnaround for the team, getting points for the team and almost clinching a podium finish ion the spectacular season finale.
Meanwhile it was Michael Schumacher who awarded the world championship trophy to Team Germany. Some surprise it was for the German A1GP team.

Whoa, slow down there.Karti scored points only on his debut and then in China and now in Brands Hatch and he did not single handedly turn around the team. There was also a new pit-crew at hand(I think due to the change in ownership,Some Mr.Gupta owned it last season and the current owner is Yohan Stepann) which might have helped him as well.Besides putting mediocre and inexperienced drivers like Armaan Ebrahim and Parthiv Sureshvaran was not going to help anyone in the first place.
And Rosberg is not “pseudo”.Very talented. The best way to compare a driver is to compare him with his team-mate and if you may remember,Tiago Monteiro beat Karti a lot of times(12 times to be precise including the important US GP).If they have to get rid of someone, then it should be Alexander Wurz.

You talk about the USGP, once Tiago got ahead on opening lap, Narain was given strict instructions not to pursue him from Jordan/Midland , otherwise Narain was impressive in a lot of the races.
Moreover the engineering crew of team A1GP India had itself said that technical inputs from Narain helped the team a lot.
I hate Nico Rosberg , thats it, nothing but an overhyped debut and then BLANK. Wurz is not doing well as Williams can provide him a proper size chasis. Poor Wurz keeps asking for more space !

Ahhh, Rosberg is a nobody, burning fuel nothing else, lets give the Indian lad a chance in formula one with a real team. Jordan was a bad excuse for a formula one team. Poor eddie Jordan, did well with Frentzen and his kind but lost his mind later
