Ferrari have confirmed that Kimi will be using the same engine for his car as the one that won him the Australian Grand Prix, thise despite fears that the Engine might have problems and not last the entire race.

Formula One rules state that engines must last atleast two f1 races, incase there is an unscheduled engine change , it results in a penalty of 10 places on the podium after the qualifying.

Jean Todt particularly was unhappy about the whole engine speculation.

“The whole story about the engine came from outside speculation and not from us,” said Jean Todt. “Yes, there seemed to be a problem with Kimi’s pipe which maybe lost a slight bit of water.

“After all the testing we saw nothing to demonstrate that we should change our preparations for the race or change the engine.”
