Fernando Alonso promotes Tag Heuer
He is looking good, his machine is looking good and now even his Watch is. Fernando Alonso seems to be promoting Tag Heuer’s Formula One watch collection, only if i was filthy rich
. Here is Tag Heuer’s release announcing Fernando Alonso as their Brand Ambassador.
The holder of two world titles, the Spanish driver, Fernando Alonso, is enjoying continuing success on the circuits in 2007, as part of the McLaren Mercedes Vodafone team and joins the ‘dream team??(tm) of TAG Heuer ambassadors.
Inspired by a passion for racing and dogged, relentless practice, Fernando Alonso is one of those people with competition in their blood. At the age of 15, he was already the world karting champion and this was quite naturally followed by Formula Nissan, Formula 3000 and Formula 1. He made his debut in Formula 1 in 2001 as part of the Minardi team, with whom he took 10th place in the German Grand Prix. Season after season, the gifted Spaniard progressed towards his goal of winning the World Driver??(tm)s Championship title, a title he won in 2005 at the age of only 24 years and 59 days! Fernando Alonso fought some breathtaking duels to become two-time Formula 1 champion of the world for two years running (2005 and 2006), becoming the youngest driver in Formula 1 history to take this title.
TAG Heuer has always been deeply involved in motor racing and has partnered the McLaren Mercedes team for over 20 years. It is therefore extremely proud and delighted to announce Fernando Alonso as a TAG Heuer ambassador.
