Kimi wins the Australian GP 2007
The five red lights illuminate and then go out to signal the start of the 2007 Australian Grand Prix and the 2007 Formula One season is go-go-go ! And Kimi Raikonnen took the lead and kept the lead throughtout the race.
Kimi Raikkonen won the 2007 Australian Grand Prix with relative ease today in what was his first race and victory with the Scarlet Ferrari. Team-mate Felipe Massa came sixth desperately trying to overtake Fisichella in his Renault but not being able to do so till the chequered flag. Current world champion Fernando Alonso came second behind Kimi to make a solid start to his F1 season. Lewis Hamilton - the new McLaren kid on the block came third to make it a McLaren 2-3. The Renault’s performance was lacklustre again with Fisichella coming 5th and rookie Heiki Kovalainen came 10th
