Honda unveils unique ‘Green Earth Livery’
In a bold move to raise awareness about environmental issues, the Honda F1 team has replaced most existing sponsors with an ‘Earth Livery’. Some people had already got hold of the new photos of the car by carefully browsing the Honda F1 team website. At that time most were not sure whether this was to be an interim livery, a promotional livery or the real deal. But as it turns out Honda intends to keep this livery throughout the season.
Star Team Driver Jenson Button was a little bit unhappy though due to their lack of pace compared to Ferrari, McLaren and BMW. But he was optimistic nonetheless.
“We still have another test in Bahrain with a lot of things to test,” Jenson Button said.
“Hopefully they will help because we are not on the same pace as the Ferraris, the McLarens or the BMWs.”
He further added : “We’ve improved a lot but still we’re not where we want to be.
“We’re not quite there but all we can do is get our heads down and hopefully improve the car as soon as possible.
“We are definitely going in the right direction.”
