Micheal Schumacher wins Historic Pole

Scarlet fever was ruling over the Imola circuit in a historic qualifying session which saw a 12 year old record break. Seven time Formula One Champion Michael Schumacher will be on pole position for the 66th time in his career at the San Marino Grand Prix. He broke the record set by Senna in 1994 at the same track.

Schumi’s BACK!!!!
It is certainly nice to see the horse from maranello to be prancing once again! Perhaps the sea of scarlet in the grand stands and the chants of the tifosi encouraged Schumi to persist a bit longer as he battled with Fernando Alonso for most of the race. “It is quite difficult to overtake at imola”, Schumi qouted….perhaps he remembered something from last year…!!!
Meanwhile Honda squandered their wonderful oppurtunity to secure a podium finish. Perhaps the lollipop man at Jensen’s pitstop is to be blamed. The guy didn’t see the fuel rig still attached to the car and showed the green signal to Jensen, not to mention giving Jensen a lick at his lollipop!!(hmm…tasty!!!)
Juan Pablo did a nice job to secure a 3rd place for the Mclaren…but everryone is still asking the same question…when is Mclaren going to strike back? The season has so far looked very bleak for them. Let us hope that they bring in good performances so that the viewers will get to see a closely competed season.
